The People Says Stem Cell Lab

Dr. Ashutosh Pati Tripathi

Hye! I am trying to elucidate the role of Autophagy proteins in MSCs survival and death in ischemic stroke. My initial studies suggest that Autophagy plays a crucial role in cell survival and death. Further I am interested in exploring the crosstalk involved between these proteins.

Hi! Myself Dinesh Kr. Verma (Ph.D. CDRI-JNU) and here I am trying to explore the mechanisms of NLRP3 inflammasome activation implicated in inflammatory diseases e.g.- stroke (in vivo and in vitro) and alzheimer's disease (in vivo). To explore the mechanism of afore-mentioned inflammasomal pathway, I am employing novel molecules (like MCC950) which is a specific inhibitor of NLRP3-inflammasome.

I am Nidhi Sachan, I have joined Dr. Shadab’s lab in January, 2017 and I am interested in pursuing my Ph.D. in stem cell therapy in brain injury recovery. My present project involves NLRP3 Inflammasome activation in ischemic stroke, and its inhibition through novel chemical compounds. For the mentioned project, I am employing both mouse and human stem cells along with a couple of inflammasome inhibitors.

Achievements: M.Sc. Gold Medalist, CSIR-NET'2016 (AIR 74), Gate'2015 (AIR 1089)
