A healthy intellect can only reside in a healthy body. All students are provided the best care possible. As much as feasible, the in-house farm's organic vegetables are used in cooking, and the milk provided for daily consumption also comes from domesticated cows and buffaloes. In cookery, artificial colouring and preservatives are not used.
At our farm, there is a stringent policy against using conventional, non-organic pesticides, insecticides, or herbicides. Manure made from vermicompost is used in its place. Additionally, livestock fodder is raised without the use of pesticides.
Our choice to use organically grown produce and milk is supported by numerous studies that demonstrate how organophosphate pesticides have a range of negative effects, including depression, memory issues, abdominal pain, and problems with the skin, eyes, and respiratory system. According to research, organic fruits and veggies and organic milk both have much higher nutrient levels and up to 40% more antioxidants than conventionally grown produce. Another study found that organic milk contains 68% more Omega-3 fatty acids than conventional milk, whose deficiency is a significant contributor to a number of health issues, including cancer, arthritis, and heart disease.
While the finest refined oil is used to cook every dish. Additionally commonly used for cooking are pure ghee, mustard oil, and olive oil. Olive oil offers protection against heart diseases and is well tolerated by the gut and is effective in treating gastritis and ulcers. Colon, breast, and skin cancers have been shown to occur less frequently in people who consume a lot of olive oil.
Mustard seeds are a very good source of Omega-3 fatty acids as well as dietary fiber, protein, niacin, calcium manganese, magnesium, phosphorus, selenium and zinc. All of these are required by our body and help in reducing asthma, arthritis and blood pressure.
Ghee is a crucial component of the Ayurvedic herbal science that balances excess stomach acid and supports the preservation and repair of the mucous membrane of the stomach. The three facets of mental functioning—learning, memory, and recall—are also said to be supported by ghee.
Aluminum cookware is widely used to prepare dishes all over India. Foods prepared and stored in aluminum pots combine with the metal to create aluminum salts, which are linked to Alzheimer's disease and diminished vision and motor coordination. Since zinc is a necessary mineral that is present in every cell of our body and activates white blood cells to fight infections and defend the body against viruses, management has chosen to use zinc-coated utensils as often as possible when cooking.
