Rules for Fellowship/Post Doctoral Certificate Courses (PDCC) at Era University, Lucknow

  1. Various Teaching Departments of Era’s Lucknow Medical College and Hospital, Era University, Lucknow, are offering Post Doctoral Certificate Course (PDCC) and Fellowship program (as per the details annexed herewith).
  2. At present these trainings cannot be registered as qualification by regulatory bodies.
  3. These courses will be of one year duration. Candidates will have to complete the predetermined period of training. In case the candidate leaves in between the certificate will not be awarded.
  4. Selected candidates will be appointed as Senior Residents and will receive a stipend accordingly. Senior Residency may be renewable for 2 more years.
  5. Eligibility for admission: MD/MS/DNB.
  6. These courses have been tailored to impart skills and to develop competency in those skills.
  7. Teaching and training for each certificate course and fellowship in various departments will be as per a structured program.
  8. Admission Criteria:
    Admissions will be strictly on the basis of performance in the interview which will be conducted by a board constituted by the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor. NEET /NBE Exam score will be taken into consideration while selecting a candidate.
  9. Record of candidates will be maintained by the Dean and the Registrar.
  10. Exit Exam will be conducted by the Era University at the end of the course.
  11. The Course Certificate will be awarded at a Convocation/Foundation Day of the Era University after certification by the Head and Dean regarding attendance, training, competency and completion of the predetermined duration and the result of the Exit Examination.
  12. Candidates will be enrolled with the Era University and will be issued an enrollment number.
  13. All candidates will be required to have a University ID signed by the authorized person that will remain valid for the course duration only.
  14. Library facilities will be provided to the candidates.
  15. All University rules regarding attendance and discipline, etc. must be maintained by the candidates as is done by all other university students.
  16. Hostel accommodation is available on chargeable as per the University norms.
  17. Candidates involved in direct patient care should have all regulatory approvals. For example, they must be registered with U.P. State Medical Council and have a valid registration number and additional degrees must be registered.
  18. To apply the candidates may download the form from the ELMC&H website and mail it at admissions@elmcindia.org or submit the form at Era University (Admission Cell).
  19. Candidates will have to present the following documents at the time of the interview:
    1. Original degree/certificates/pass certificates
    2. Mark sheets of all examinations passed
    3. Character certificate
    4. Two passport size photographs
    5. Self attested ID & address proof
  20. Registration fees will be payable after the completion of admission process.
