Animal House
Institute have a well established Animal House, registered as 1114/ac/07/CPCSEA and permitted for experiments on Animals as per letter no. 25/4/2007-AWD, government of India Ministry of Environment and Forest. The animal house possesses complete facilities for breeding and maintenance of laboratory animals under standard husbandry conditions. It houses animal strains of different species including inbred strains of mice, rat, Guinea pig, rabbit and sheep. The facility takes care of humane handling of animals and follows Committee for the Purpose of Control and Supervision of Experiments on Animals (CPCSEA) for breeding and experiments. Animals are housed and used for breeding of and experiments for Medical Research as per rules & Regulation of CPCSEA. Institute also have Animal House Committee and Animal Ethics Committee for regular monitoring of Animal House besides permanent Veterinary Officer as Incharge of Animal House.
